We help our visiting international patients find care for a variety of medical concerns in an environment that respects and appreciates diverse cultures.
Our International Patient Services Coordinator will talk to you about your medical condition and discuss the specialty services provided by our medical physicians and surgeons.

To provide the best care, we request that all medical records be provided in English. To have your medical records translated, we recommend LanguageLine Solutions. They translate documents for many companies and are available to assist with this process. Simply submit your records to LanguageLine, and a translation representative will help you within 24 hours. Here at Tufts Medical Center, we are always looking for ways to improve the patient experience and we are happy to make this option available so that our world-class care can be accessible to all.
Our International Patient Service Administrator will be your personal concierge throughout your hospital experience. Customized services include:
• Phone and email communication prior to your visit
• Phone and email communication among referring physician and Tufts MC physicians
• Coordinating interpreter services
• Scheduling clinical appointments for tests and procedures
• Scheduling appointments with financial coordinator
• Greeting you in-person when you arrive at the hospital
• Escorting you to all appointments
• Recommending housing, transportation, Boston and cultural resources
We offer interpreter services in multiple languages and access to additional languages as needed, at no cost. The Interpreter Services Department at Tufts Medical Center handles over 7,500 patient encounters every month. Interpreters are available to meet with patients face-to-face, by phone/video and American Sign Language.
