Why did you go into cancer care?
I began my nursing career in a community hospital caring for patients undergoing surgery for different types of cancers. I found that I wholeheartedly enjoyed caring for these patients and being a part of their journey through treatment. After working in this setting for several years, I was blessed with the opportunity to join the care team at Tufts as a nurse in the infusion center. After a short time at Tufts, I knew that cancer care was the type of care I was meant to give.
What makes the Tufts MC Cancer Center special?
The Tufts MC Cancer Center is a special place with an amazing care team. There is a community feeling here in a large academic hospital which is not easy to find. I can easily say I have enjoyed working with everyone I have met here at the Tufts MC Cancer Center, but I especially love the relationships with patients that have developed over the past several years.
