The Second Cancer Center Survivorship Workshop organized by a remarkable committee of caregivers and dedicated to the wellbeing of our cancer patients was a remarkable success. Chaired by Cate Mullen and ably assisted in the planning by Marybeth Singer, Paige Walsh, Lilla Rogers, Nadine Linendoll, Carrie Wechsler, Judith Kahn, Shellyann Herry and Tully Saunders, the entire team provided a full day of activities for our patients and their families. Over 100 attended and interacted with the Tufts CC team, our wonderful speakers, and interesting sessions. Held at the Courtyard Marriott, it was a great day all around.
Every goal for this year seemed to have been met--- the program grew significantly, year over year, the patients felt well cared for, and the there was great staff participation from all parts of the Cancer Center including 6 medical faculty and many nursing, social work, survivorship, AYA, administrative personnel. People who had not connected for nearly 20 yrs met and congratulated and supported each other.
This was a wonderful celebration of the great work that all members of the cancer center are doing to help patients on their journeys. Thanks to the committee for planning and to all those who participated.
