In May 2017, WCVB Channel 5 Boston will be aired two important stories about the strength, courage and resolve of 3 Tufts Medical Center patients who survived childhood cancer, only to be faced with difficult and unexpected physical and mental challenges years later as young adults, as a result of their cancer treatments.
The stories also will highlight the incredible passion and foresight of Susan Parsons, MD, and the pioneering work she has done to found The Reid R. Sacco Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program at Tufts MC and grow the program into a national leader in providing age-appropriate care to this patient population.
The shorter story aired during the 5pm news and the the entire 30 minutes of the Chronicle on WCVB Channel 5 program at 7:30pm was dedicated to the longer story.
