BOSTON – Tufts Medical Center has been accepted into the Boston Athletic Association’s Community Fundraising Program and will be fielding a charity team for the Boston Marathon for the second year in a row.
“Over the years, Tufts Medical Center has worked closely with the Boston Athletic Association to provide critical support and treatment for Marathon runners and spectators every Marathon Monday,” said Michael Wagner, MD, President and CEO of Tufts Medical Center. “ We are proud to continue this great partnership into the future.”
In 2014, the 40 members of the Medical Center’s first ever Boston Marathon team raised over $285,000 in vital support for the programs and services that help make Tufts Medical Center one of the most highly regarded academic medical centers in the country.
Applications to join Team Tufts MC for the 2015 Boston Marathon will be accepted until Friday, October 8. Team Tufts MC runners will enjoy a variety of benefits, including a running singlet, access to a personalized training program and invitation to team events.
