Great news! Tufts Medical Center was awarded the CureSearch grant for the Clinical Trial Advancement Award (CTAA) Program for children's cancer! CureSearch for Children's Cancer is a national non-profit foundation that funds and supports targeted and innovative children's cancer research with measurable results.
This grant helps our Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology continue to administer therapeutic options that benefit children with cancer. Pediatric Heme/Onc had 24 patients enrolled in phase I, II, and III clinical trials during the year of 2014. This grant will help propel our model of personalized cancer care for patients whose sole therapeutic option used to be palliative care or a highly toxic, hospitalization-heavy regimen. We offer patients therapies tailored not only to their genomic alterations, but also to their lifestyle and preference.
