On September 20, 2013, Tom Hollister, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mike Wagner, MD, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer and members of the Medical Center family celebrated the establishment of the William L. Saltonstall Society. With more than 70 devoted friends and supporters, Janie Saltonstall, Bill Saltonstall’s wife of 56 years, was also in attendance. Guests enjoyed lunch at the Ritz-Carlton, with speakers Ellen Zane, former President and Chief Executive Officer and Father James Shaughnessy, Director of Pastoral Care, sharing personal stories about Bill’s great friendship with the Medical Center and the significant impact he had on the lives of our patients and their families, as well as our staff. The event concluded with Janie Saltonstall presenting the first society lapel pins to inaugural members, Ellen and Peter Zane.
