Ace Bailey's Legacy Endures

The Ace Bailey Children’s Foundation (ABCF) has been a proud supporter of Floating Hospital for Children for more than a decade. On February 2, 2014, ABCF unveiled their latest project to help children in the hospital – an Ace’s Place playroom in the pediatric Emergency Room.

Barbara Pothier, ABCF’s Executive Director, and Ace Bailey’s widow, Katherine Bailey, along with Katherine’s son Todd and grandson Evan cut the ribbon to welcome everyone into the special new space designed to make the ER a bit less scary for our young patients. The Foundation continued their generosity with a May 2014 gift of $50,000 to update several of their previously funded spaces, including Ace’s Place Playroom and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
