6th Annual Cups for Kids Fundraiser Raises a Record Total of $146k for Five Northeast Pediatric Hospitals
WESTBOROUGH, MASS., October 11, 2017 – Today, leading convenience retailer Cumberland Farms announced that its annual Cups for Kids fundraiser raised more than $83,000 for Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. Throughout the month of August, five cents from every iced coffee purchased at specified retail locations was donated directly to support the life changing technologies and pediatric care programs at Floating Hospital for Children. To celebrate, the brand hosted a check presentation earlier this month at the hospital.
“We are so grateful for another successful Cups for Kids campaign,” said Ari Haseotes, CEO of Cumberland Farms. “We cannot thank the communities we serve enough for helping us support our hospital partners by providing additional resources so they can continue the amazing lifesaving work they do every day. We’re already looking forward to the 2018 fundraiser.”
This year, Cumberland Farms will donate a total of $146,000 to its five hospital partners in the northeast through the Cups for Kids campaign. Other participating hospitals include Albany Medical Center, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, The Barbara Bush Hospital at Maine Medical Center, and Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
“We are thrilled with the results of this year’s Cups for Kids campaign,” said Rashed Durgham, MD, Chief Administrative Officer and Pediatrician-in-Chief at Floating Hospital. “Funds raised support our mission to provide the highest quality of care to our smallest patients and their families. We are grateful to continue our partnership Cumberland Farms and for the support of our community.”
