BOSTON – Tufts Medical Center is excited to announce the launch of Team Tufts MC for the 2022 Boston Marathon. This is Tufts MC’s ninth consecutive year fielding a team for the race. The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) has provided Tufts Medical Center with 50 invitational entries in the Boston Marathon on April 18, 2022.
“We are grateful for our continued partnership with the B.A.A. that enables us to raise critical funds through the Boston Marathon Official Charity Program,” said Michael Tarnoff, MD, President and CEO of Tufts Medical Center and Tufts Children’s Hospital. “Once again we are excited for our Team Tufts MC runners to participate in this iconic race. Their tireless efforts – through both training and fundraising in support of our patients and the entire Tufts Medical Center community – motivates and inspires us all.”
Since 2013 Team Tufts MC has raised more than $2.5 million for the lifesaving and life-changing work of Tufts Medical Center and Tufts Children’s Hospital. This year the team aims to raise more than $500,000. For information on how you can support Team Tufts MC, visit www.tuftsmedicalcenter.org/marathon
