The Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction Specialty Care national designation program recognizes healthcare providers that show expertise in delivering quality care safely, effectively and cost efficiently. The goal is to help consumers find quality and value for their specialty care needs, while encouraging professionals to improve the overall quality and delivery of healthcare nationwide.
Tufts MC has participated in the program since 2013 and has been awarded this distinction for cardiac care, hip and knee replacement, spine surgery, and heart transplant.
This year, Bariatric Surgery was re-designated and Maternity Services also was recognized.
