03/25/2018

American Diabetes Association (ADA) Alert Day is March 27. Managing diabetes is possible and no cost management education is available!

Type II diabetes can be a serious illness where the body has trouble making or using insulin. The ADA encourages people to take the online Diabetes Risk Test which asks 7 questions about your family and personal health, and provides you with a risk assessment from 0-10.

Tufts Medical Center Primary Care - Boston offers free classes to people with diabetes to help them lessen the severity of the disease through education and to empower people to take an active role in managing their own health. The next 4 week session will begin April 17th. The classes are held on Tuesdays for 4 weeks from 4pm -6pm on the 5th floor of  the Biewend Building. Please call 617 636- 7002 for more information.
