Here at Tufts Medical Center, we know how important moms are. That's why we've teamed up with the Boston Bruins to honor some very hardworking moms — hockey moms! Each month we will honor a hockey mom known for her selflessness, her generosity and her willingness to wake up before the sun comes up to sit through countless hockey practices all year long. Every recognized hockey mom will receive two tickets to an upcoming Bruins game, a custom jersey and in-game recognition while riding the ice resurfacer during a Bruins Intermission. If you know a mom who deserves to be recognized for her dedication to everything hockey in your family, nominate her today here.
March - Carol Moorhouse
This month we are honoring Carol Moorhouse — a hockey mom and a hockey grandma! Two of her sons grew up playing hockey, which meant spending hours at hockey rinks, traveling out of the country for tournaments, attending hockey banquets, and constantly watching hockey on TV. Now 81 years old, Carol can still be found at hockey rinks all around New England watching her grandsons' games — even in snowstorms!

January - Sara Saloomey
This month we are honoring Sara Saloomey. Sara is a mother of triplets – Charlie, Will and Megan – all avid Bruins fans and incredible 13 year old youth hockey players. 4am practices were no challenge for her when the triplets were all on the same team but now she has to balance different teams and schedules. Everything she does is for her kids and we think she is the ultimate hockey mom!
