Tufts Medical Center recently launched a new and improved Online Payment Center to make the bill pay process easier for our patients.
The secure Online Payment Center gives patients two easy options to pay their bills:
- You can use the “Make a One-Time Payment” feature to quick pay as you have in the past or
- You can set up an account to view, print, download, track and pay your bills online.
To create an account, you’ll need to use a PIN# that will be printed on all patient bills in the future. You can also call 617-636-4800 and ask a customer service representative to help you obtain your pin.
Once you’ve created your account, you can login and see all of your hospital and physician bills in one place. You can track, print, download and pay your bills securely in the Online Payment Center.
“This portal is what patients have been asking for some time and their wish has been granted,” said Janet Chou, Manager of Customer Service in Patient Financial Services. She continued, “One benefit is not having to make a phone call about your bill, you can access it quickly online.”
“Using the Online Payment Center also allows for more accurate and timely processing of payments to the correct accounts – Hospital vs. Physicians Group,” added Linda Nowacki, Vendor Management, Patient Financial Services.
Another benefit of the Online Payment Center is that you can sign up to receive your bills electronically, a new feature that we haven’t been able to offer at the Medical Center in the past. Signing up for eDelivery helps the Medical Center reduce waste and is more environmentally friendly.
“We’re thrilled to offer our patients the opportunity to view their hospital and professional statements online at their leisure while making an effort to improve the environment by ‘going green,’” said Wendy Leong-Lum, Associate Director of Patient Financial Services.
