This trail mix has a little something for every craving and it’s so easy to make!
For fiber and bulk:
1 cup high fiber cereal (<100 calories and > 8g fiber per serving) i.e. Fiber One Original, Trader Joes High Fiber Cereal, All Bran Original etc.)
For fat, salt and longevity:
½ cup nuts or seeds w/ no added sugar (i.e. pumpkin, almonds, peanuts)
For fiber and protein:
½ cup dry roasted chickpeas or soy beans
¼ cup dried or freeze dried fruit (freeze dried apple or blueberries, unsweetened cranberries, apricot or strawberries)
2 T chocolate chips (optional)
Mix in a large bowl and enjoy.
Makes 4 Servings, each a little over ½ cup and ~220 calories per serving
