11/04/2013

October 29, 2013 (BOSTON) – Tufts Medical Center has opened an adult primary care practice in Quincy, MA in a new, state-of-the-art facility. Tufts Medical Center Primary Care – Quincy, based in a two-story, 15,000 square foot building at Crown Colony Office Park, will bring Tufts MC’s skilled physicians and world-class, patient-centered care to the South Shore community.

Featuring free parking and a convenient location at 1690 Crown Colony Drive, close to four major highways and public transportation, Tufts Medical Center Primary Care – Quincy will offer patients comprehensive primary care with individualized diagnosis and treatment plans. The practice is comprised of seven accomplished physicians of various age ranges, both male and female, with diverse backgrounds and care interests. In addition to English, certain physicians also are fluent in Chinese, Russian and Ukrainian. Four of the physicians relocated from their Milton/Hyde Park practice. In addition, several top Tufts Medical Center primary care specialists will be on site at the Quincy office every month to see patients in need of additional care and consultation.

“We are extremely pleased to open this service in the heart of the South Shore community,” said Michael Wagner, MD, FACP, Interim President and CEO of Tufts Medical Center. “Effective preventive care is the most important factor in keeping people healthy and it all starts with outstanding primary care. The national shortage of primary care physicians has been well-documented, so it is especially gratifying to be able to offer this high level of care in a beautiful new facility in a location that is convenient for Quincy area residents.”

The Tufts Medical Center Primary Care – Quincy facility is equipped with all the modern amenities and technology necessary for optimal patient care. The practice offers same-day appointments and on-site community health workshops on topics including nutrition, diet and exercise. On-site blood-drawing services also are available and the practice has a centralized digital medical record system, allowing primary care physicians to quickly and easily connect with each patient’s entire health care team.
