Tufts Medical Center today was awarded an “A” rating from The Leapfrog Group in its Spring 2019 Hospital Safety Grade ratings- receiving the highest Leapfrog grade in back-to-back rating periods. The score recognizes Tufts MC’s great success in protecting patients from harm and meeting the highest patient safety care standards in the United States.
The Leapfrog Group is a national nonprofit organization devoted to positively impacting the quality and safety of American health care. The survey uses 28 measures of publicly available patient safety data including medical errors, injuries, accidents and infection.
This accomplishment reflects the dedication and expertise that all of our team members—clinical and non-clinical—provide to our patients, their families and each other. We also will continue to review and improve our processes and procedures to do an even better job in preventing harm to patients.
