Tufts Medical Center & Tufts Children's Hospital statement on Wall Street Journal Op-Ed from August 8, 2021:

At Tufts Medical Center and Tufts Children’s Hospital, we adhere to public health guidelines that are based on the most recent, high-quality scientific data available. With respect to indoor masking during the pandemic, that data are clear – masks are a critical tool to prevent the spread of infection. With students preparing to return to in-person learning this fall in the midst of the Delta variant surge, we support efforts to ensure the health and safety of children too young to be vaccinated, so they can continue to attend school in person. We do not endorse or support the idea that masking of children is ‘abusive’.
