John Adam ReichJohn Adam Reich, MD has been named Anesthesiologist-in-Chief at Tufts Medical Center. After serving in the interim position since December, he assumes the position permanently, effective immediately. Dr. Reich is also being proposed to Tufts University as the Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at Tufts University School of Medicine.

“From the outset, Dr. Reich demonstrated a natural leadership ability that ultimately made him the ideal person to lead our anesthesiology team,” said Michael Tarnoff, MD, FACS, President and CEO, Tufts Medical Center and Tufts Medical Center. “He embraces the tripartite mission of education, research and patient care, and understands that it takes a talented, cohesive and harmonious team to succeed.”

Dr. Reich was first introduced to the Tufts Medical Center community when he rotated through as a fourth year medical student. He felt drawn to the culture and was thrilled to match at Tufts MC for residency.
