Dr. Arunachalam was born in India and is a board-certified internist who specializes in pulmonary and critical care medicine. He received his medical degree from Sri Ramachandra University in Chennai, India. He completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA. He later went on to complete fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, OH. Dr. Arunachalam has focused his clinical activities on resident education and managing patients with pulmonary hypertension. His research interest involves deep phenotyping various types of pulmonary vascular disease based on pathobiology, advanced imaging, and biomarkers. He is also interested in studying the utility of exercise hemodynamics to diagnose early pulmonary vascular disease and study their outcomes.
