Amy Leventhal Stern, PhD is Research Manager at the Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health at the Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies at Tufts Medical Center. In this capacity, she provides managerial and administrative oversight for the Center's varied projects, spearheads grant proposal submissions, participates in research activities, is responsible for general operations, human resource needs, and finances of the Center, conducts grant and contract maintenance, assists in strategic planning, implements fundraising initiatives, orchestrates and coordinates the Center's public relations efforts and outreach initiatives, and serves as the Center's liaison with Tufts Medical Center’s Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies as well as other university and hospital administrative offices.
Dr. Stern has developed, implemented, and supervised a vast array of health-related and elder care studies on topics such as access to health care, consumer perceptions of the physical environment of acute, ambulatory and long-term care settings, and consumer satisfaction and quality assessment of adult day care.
Dr. Stern received her doctorate in Gerontology at the University of Massachusetts Boston, her M.A. in Gerontology from the University of Pennsylvania and her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University.
