The Department of Psychiatry welcomed Dustin Patil, MD as the Director of Addiction Psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center. Dr. Patil earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He completed his general psychiatry residency training at Boston Medical Center/Boston University School of Medicine, where he also completed a fellowship in addiction psychiatry. His professional interests include medication treatment for substance use disorders, stigma related to addiction, mutual help organizations, social determinants of health, and trainee education in addiction.
