Johanna Seddon, MD, ScM, is a leading international expert in the causes and treatment of Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD), the leading cause of blindness in people over age 65. She is Founding Director of the Ophthalmic Epidemiology and Genetics Service at Tufts Medical Center and Professor of Ophthalomogy at Tufts University School of Medicine.
She is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Dr. Seddon is board certified in Ophthalmology, and her clinical specialties include vitreoretinal diseases, macular dystrophies, hereditary retinal disorders and retinal vascular disorders.
