Kristin Huang, MD grew up among the cornfields and college football of Iowa City, Iowa, and moved to Massachusetts to attend college at Harvard, during which she spent two summers in China doing public health work. Dr. Huang stayed in Boston for medical school and spent a transformative year in Kenya doing health services research. During residency, she became involved with quality improvement to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of primary care clinic and with video ethnography as a means of telling patient stories in a compelling manner. Dr. Huang continues to be interested in global health and community health, and is grateful for the chance to work at the nexus of these areas by serving Cantonese-speaking immigrants as well as other patients at Tufts. She lives in Cambridge and has two young children who love dogs, parks and books. Dr. Huang enjoys swimming, outdoor activities, baking, reading and writing.
