Lester Y. Leung, MD hopes to reduce the impact of stroke on individuals and society, particularly through the pre-hospital and in-hospital attenuation of stroke severity and the prevention of first and recurrent strokes. He's particularly interested in the potential of silent brain infarction and microhemorrhages as biomarkers and opportunities to guide preventive treatments. He's also interested in the diagnosis, management and long-term consequences of stroke in young adults, a group with an extended duration of disability and exposure to complications of stroke. His personal interests include hiking and cycling.
