Dr. Bilic joined Tufts Medical Center faculty in 2013, after returning to New England where she originally immigrated in the early 1990s from Bosnia. She graduated from Smith College with a BA in Biochemistry and earned her MD degree at Yale University School of Medicine. She went on to complete residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston. After residency, Dr. Bilic remained on faculty in the Department of Pathology at MUSC for six years, practicing as anatomic and clinical pathologist and developing special interest in pulmonary and renal pathology. Dr. Bilic is willing to mentor students and residents and collaborate with colleagues conducting research involving any aspect of pathology, especially in projects involving lung and kidney disease.
