Chris Sheldrick, PhD, is a developmental psychologist. He is currently directing the Providing Resources and Education to Parents (PREP) project researching the efficacy of offering behavioral screening and group parenting interventions to families with young children through pediatric practices. Other research interests include how parents of children with autism-spectrum disorders (ASD) appraise their quality of life, children’s experience of stigma and the effects of television exposure on violence and other high-risk behaviors. Dr. Sheldrick received his undergraduate degree from Brown University in History, and his master's and doctoral degrees from Temple University in the field of Clinical Psychology.
