Dr. Vlad is a practicing rheumatologist and epidemiologist. His research interests have included adverse effects of drugs used for the treatment of rheumatologic diseases, especially glucocorticoids and bisphosphonates, osteoarthritis, chronic soft tissue injuries, and the design of clinical research studies. He serves as the Director of Study Design and New England Baptist Hospital and holds a joint appointment with the Tufts CTSI as an epidemiologist.
