Tiffiny Hron, MD is a laryngeal surgeon at the Voice and Swallowing Center in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Tufts Medical Center. Dr. Hron received her B.S. in health administration and policy from Creighton University in 2002, her M.A. in medical sciences from Boston University in 2004, and her M.D. from Boston University in 2008. She completed her internship in general surgery in 2009 and her residency in otolaryngology in 2013 both at the University of Connecticut. She completed her fellowship in laryngeal surgery at the MGH Center for Laryngeal Surgery in 2014 with Dr. Steven Zeitels and Dr. James Burns. Dr. Hron is board certified in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of laryngeal disease with emphasis in the care of the performing and professional voice, phonotraumatic vocal cord lesions, vocal fold paralysis, laryngeal stenosis, laryngeal cancer, spasmodic dysphonia, and recurrent respiratory papillomatosis.
Dr. Hron is skilled in phonomicrosurgery, endolaryngeal laser procedures, vocal fold injections, and laryngeal framework procedures. Her current research interests include development of high-fidelity airway simulation models, one of which is a botox simulator.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hron enjoys learning different cooking techniques, traveling to experience new cultures, and engaging in physical activities such as golf and skiing.
