Dr. Ziad Alfarah is a geriatrician and palliative care physician. He started his career working in Lawrence, Massachusetts, caring for a primarily underserved population. He has served in various physician leadership roles, including Chief Quality Officer and Chief Medical Officer.
Dr. Alfarah is strongly passionate about incorporating improvement science and high reliability principles to transform health care delivery. He has been involved in many initiatives around delivering value-based patient-centered care, most recently, implementing an accountable care organization for the Medicaid population in the Merrimack Valley.
Dr. Alfarah completed his training at the State University of New York at Buffalo and Boston Medical Center. He has been teaching Geriatric Medicine on the inpatient wards for several years. He is currently focused on innovative ways to manage the complex medically-ill population.
In his free time, Dr. Alfarah enjoys playing with his daughter, gardening, doing work around the house, reading, running, biking and outdoors activities.
