Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies

Center for Community-Engaged Medicine

The Center for Community-Engaged Medicine (CCEM), directed by Dr. Robert Sege, promotes the development of deep and meaningful linkages between health care systems and providers, and the patients and communities we serve. The center bridges translational and implementation science with the myriad efforts to address racism, inequity, and health-related social needs.

CCEM faculty actively participate in education, research, and policy change within the Institute, the University, and across the country. Core CCEM activities focus on broad collaboration within the healthcare sector, with national membership organizations, state and federal agencies. Core CCEM programs include HOPE (Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences) and DULCE (Developmental Understanding and Legal Support for Everyone).

CCEM also supports the Tufts Clinical and Translational Science Institute’s stakeholder and community engagement core.
