What are the benefits of an administrative fellowship?

Administrative fellows will be provided with real world experience in the operations of a large healthcare organization.  This experience is invaluable to help reach career goals in healthcare administration.

What are the application timelines?

The Tufts MC Administrative Fellowship program is highly competitive with limited openings each year. The application deadline aligns with the National Council on Administrative Fellowships (NAFCAS) application cycle and corresponding deadline.

What is the compensation for this administrative fellowship?

Tufts Medical Center offers competitive salary and benefits for administrative fellows that is tied to the institution’s post graduate year (PGY) schedule.

How long is the administrative fellowship?

The administrative fellowship is a 13 month program, starting the beginning of July, ending the beginning of August. Each year, incoming fellows will benefit from the guidance of graduating fellows for the month of July.

Can those with a clinical background apply for the fellowship?

Yes.  We are seeking candidates with graduate degrees in business, healthcare administration, or public health with an interest in pursuing careers in healthcare administration. In addition to this experience, a clinical background may in fact provide valuable insight for those seeking a career in healthcare administration.

What leaders will this fellow be exposed to?

The administrative fellow will have many opportunities to interact with individuals with years of experience in various areas necessary to keep a large healthcare organization running. Meet members of our leadership team here.

I am a foreign applicant. Does the Tufts Medical Center Fellowship provide work visas?

No, we do not sponsor work visas for Administrative Fellows.
