Upcoming Professional Opportunities
The OEA is taking applications for their next featured seminar, OEA Educational Management & Leadership Seminar, by Maria Blanco, EdD. The goal of the seminar is to assist TUSM faculty with their educational leadership roles by reviewing concepts and practical approaches related to leadership and management while providing a venue for the faculty to reflect on their current educational leadership roles, share leadership challenges and receive peer's feedback. It will be hosted via Zoom on Tuesdays, May 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2023; 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. To apply to the program, please send an email by Monday, April 24, 2023, to emily.nuttall@tufts.edu with the following information:
- Name, Academic Title, and email address
- Academic Institution and department affiliation
- Current teaching responsibility/ies (e.g., precepting, small group teaching, lecturing)
- Brief statement of interest outlining what you hope to gain from this experience
- Any scheduling conflicts for the dates outlined above
The Natalie V. Zucker Research Center for Women Scholars will be accepting applications for its twenty-fourth annual grant awards. Candidates must be engaged in basic or clinical biomedical research related to human health at Tufts or the major Tufts-affiliated hospitals. Junior faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and residents are eligible. Individual awards of up to $10,000 will be given for basic, clinical, or translational research projects, which may include travel and training, or up to $5000 for only travel and training. The grant period is one year, with the earliest start date being July 1, 2023.
