New MIRI Associate PIs Join the MIRI

January 19, 2023

In order to further strengthen the connection between the MIRI and investigators involved in complementary work across Tufts Medicine and Tufts University, MIRI created the role of "Associate PI."

All Associate PIs have active, funded research programs that synergize with MIRI priorities for improving maternal and child health outcomes, and are actively collaborating with MIRI PIs. Associate MIRI PIs are invited to all MIRI faculty meetings and strategy sessions and are expected to participate in collaborative projects, hospital-wide MIRI seminars and the MIRI lab "Data Talks," as well as co-supervise trainees.

Erika Werner, MD (Chair and Professor of OB/GYN) who joined us in October 2021. We are pleased to formally introduce you to two new Associate PIs who have joined the MIRI: Sebastian Ramos, MD (Assistant Prof OBGYN), and Juan Gnecco, PhD (Assistant Prof Bioengineering).
