"I’ve now been on the general consult service here at Washington Hospital Center for seven days (including
covering my first weekend!), and the pathology I have encountered has been so incredible that I had to email you about it.
"It was an unusually busy week during which I had a daily census of 18-20 with 3-5 new consults a day. There are a wide variety of cases from AIDS with opportunistic infections to multi-drug resistant bacterial infections. The most important thing though, is that I have felt completely prepared to handle nearly all of these cases...I hit the ground running and it’s been great so far. I think that’s absolutely a testament to both the cases we encounter at Tufts MC/Lahey/Shattuck and the training we get from the attendings. As a brand new graduate from the program, I feel totally capable to these complex cases."
