Appendix Cancer

Experts at Tufts Medical Center in downtown Boston treat Appendix or Appendiceal Cancer using state-of-the-art treatments including Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC). This cancer is found in the appendix which is part of the digestive system and is located close to where the large and small intestines come together. Appendix cancer is classified by the type of cells within the tumor - either carcinoid, non-carcinoid or pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP).
