Testing

We turn to the following tests to get a better understanding of your hand or arm condition:

These tests help us look for things like:

  • Arthritis
  • Fractures
  • Ligament sprains and tears
  • Nerve damage
  • Tumors

We also take a hands-on approach to diagnosing these types of injuries with a procedure called arthroscopy. Arthroscopy involves making an incision roughly the width of a penny near the affected area to look at your joints, tendons and ligaments, using a fiber-optic video camera attached to a narrow tube.
