Headache Care

A headache is the most common form of pain. A headache is simply pain in the head. A headache can be caused by nearly anything, from fatigue to the very serious such as a brain tumor. The most common type of headache is the tension headache. It's due to tight muscles in the jaw, neck, and shoulders, and is linked to stress and depression.

Symptoms of a headache:

Facial Pain- Pain in the facial area. This pain may typically be centered around the side of the face or jaw

Pain Relief:

For immediate pain relief, triptans provide the best immediate relief.

Prevention:

Preventing headaches is possible to an extent. Diet and stress relief generally do not do the job and neither the existing preventative medication. However, new and specific migraine preventative medications are in development and are expected to be available soon.
