Hip Replacement

A hip replacement is a surgical procedure in which doctors remove diseased parts of the hip and replace them with new, artificial parts. A hip replacement can ease pain and help people with their movement. Tufts Medical Center in Boston is home to highly skilled surgeons who work with patients experiencing pain and discomfort in the hips who are in need of a hip replacement. Tufts surgeons are interested in complex disorders of the hip including revision total hip replacement. They also have been trained in less invasive techniques such as direct anterior total hip replacement, which may allow patients to have a faster recovery.
