Larynx Disorders

The voice box (larynx) is located at the top of the airway to the lungs (trachea). The larynx contains the vocal cords. Larynx disorders include nodules, polyps, and sores on the vocal cords. Other voice disorders include infections, upward movement of stomach acids into the throat, growths due to a virus, cancer, and diseases that paralyze the vocal cords.
