Throat Disorders

Throat disorders are disorders affecting the pharynx (throat). They are usually caused by a viral infection, but other causes include allergies, infection with strep bacteria or the upward movement of stomach acids into the esophagus, called gastric reflux. Additional disorders include tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and cancers.
