Supporting and navigating you through treatment
A breast cancer diagnosis can seem overwhelming at first. In addition to facing decisions about treatments, you're probably wondering how your cancer will affect your life and your loved ones. That's why we pair each of our patients with an experienced nurse navigator to help you:
- Coordinate your care.
- Understand your diagnosis, prognosis and treatment options.
- Connect you with information and support services.
- Offer advice for dealing with symptoms and potential lifestyle changes associated with your condition.
We can also connect you and your family with a social worker, who can talk to you about financial matters and offer access to support services at Tufts MC and in your community.
Breast Cancer Support Group
The Breast Health Center at Tufts Medical Center is hosting a weekly support group for women with breast cancer who are in their first year of treatment.
The Group is an important part of your individualized treatment plan. Come and meet with other women in a supportive environment to discuss common concerns and questions, practice skills to help cope with treatment and share feelings, fears, strength and hope. Please join us!
