Led by Chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery, James Yoo, MD, the Colorectal Cancer Center at Tufts Medical Center in downtown Boston is focused on providing you not only with the best possible care but also the best possible communication. We truly treat our patients like they are members of our own family and take every step necessary to make sure that we are here for them during their cancer journey.
Whether you are a referring physician, long-time patient of Tufts Medical Center or a new patient just looking to find out more information about a colorectal cancer diagnosis, rest assured that you will always have our full attention.
Not only do we keep open lines of communication with our patients and referring physicians, we also work hard to make sure that our patients can see us as soon as possible after an appointment request is made. The colorectal cancer specialists at Tufts MC adjust our schedules around yours to make sure you can be seen as quickly as possible.
Once you start your care here, you will be contacted by our specialized care coordinator who is dedicated to making your experience with us as easy as possible. After your first visit, we work with you to complete all lab tests within the first week so that we can get started on your care plan as quickly as possible.
After reviewing your tests, your colorectal cancer care team will begin meeting weekly to discuss your plan of care and make any adjustments as necessary, while always including your input in our final recommendations.
