Working Together to Conquer Cancer

Tufts Medical Center in Boston has been providing world-class care for cancer patients since the 1940s. During that time, cancer treatment and research have become increasingly complex.

We founded the Experimental Therapeutics Program at Tufts MC to accelerate the discovery and delivery of new cancer therapies. Our program consolidates cancer research at Tufts MC so that our experts can easily share information and ideas with one another. In addition, our six state-of-the-art laboratory facilities provide access to the technology our researchers need to develop groundbreaking new treatments.

We focus our research efforts on:

  • Offering treatments to patients with tumors that have not responded to standard drugs
  • Developing new drugs to treat cancer more effectively and with fewer complications
  • Understanding the biology of cancer and how drug treatments work
  • Validating biomarkers for better diagnosis and more accurate prognosis

How Can I Benefit from Tufts MC Cancer Research?

If you've recently been diagnosed with cancer, you want to know you're getting the most effective care right from the start. Or, you may have already tried standard cancer treatments and are now looking for new options. Either way, our program can efficiently connect you with the care you need.

In the Experimental Therapeutics Program, physician researchers work side-by-side with laboratory scientists. This enables us to quickly take discoveries "from bench to bedside." As a patient, you'll feel confident that our team is offering you access to the latest therapies and the most promising clinical trials.
