Cancer treatment can require that you stay overnight or have frequent appointments in downtown Boston. For that reason, families often need to find nearby accommodations. The Tufts Cancer Center connects patients and their families with housing options in downtown Boston that are affordable convenient for you.
One of the most unique features of the Tufts Cancer Center is the The Neely House, 16-apartment bed and breakfast-style home away from home located within the medical center that is available to cancer patients and their families. Created by a donation from The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care, The Neely House is an environment in which family members can talk with others in similar situations while being near loved ones undergoing treatment within the walls of the hospital. Each apartment can house a family from one to six people and has a kitchenette and bathroom, all for $50 a night. Guests also have use of two full kitchens, two common lounge areas, free laundry, media room and resource room. They can also find support through talking with others who also are in treatment.
Please talk to your social worker or call 617-636-5136 to learn more and explore room availability.
Our teams also work closely with area hotels to offer discounted rates to families of Tufts Cancer Center patients. View off-site accommodation options >
