Preventive Cardiology Center

Experts in helping you avoid heart disease

At the Preventive Cardiology Center at Tufts Medical Center, our highly skilled cardiologists, pharmacists and other health care professionals are dedicated to the prevention and treatment of heart disease. If you are at risk, we will work with you to develop a treatment plan to help avoid the onset of a serious heart condition. Or if you have already been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, our team will develop a personalized care plan to help you lead a healthy and fulfilling life.

The Cardiology Prevention team, which includes nationally known experts in cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment, carefully assesses your individual needs and chooses the latest and most effective treatments for managing cholesterol levels and high blood pressure. We have particular expertise in treating women with, or at risk for, heart disease. Our team includes physicians, nurses, dietitians, and pharmacists, all of whom partner with your doctor or cardiologist  to help you stay heart healthy.

Research focused on promising, new therapies

Our center is continually involved in leading-edge research related to the prevention and treatment of heart disease, opening up potential opportunities for patients interested in taking part in clinical trials. Doctors from our program have conducted advanced research into areas such as hyperlipdemia and hypertension.
