Overview Expert insight on dermatologic conditions Sometimes, patients hospitalized for unrelated medical reasons may develop or seek treatment for skin issues. Tufts Medical Center’s Department of Dermatology is here to help. Every day, one of our physicians is available to consult on dermatologic issues (drug eruptions, infections, contact dermatitis, cutaneous manifestations of systemic diseases) from mild to severe, in both pediatric and adult inpatients at Tufts Medical Center. Drawing on our expertise, we will discuss your case with the rest of our team, and then make treatment recommendations if appropriate. Depending on your individual needs, we will continue to follow up and check on the health of your skin, for as long as you remain in the hospital.
