Facial Plastic Surgery Center

Cosmetic surgery experts dedicated to improving function and form

Considering facial cosmetic surgery? Then you want highly skilled medical specialists with expertise in the anatomy and the physiology of the face as well as the aesthetics of facial features. That means facial plastic surgeons that are committed to improving function as well as form. For example, a rhinoplasty (nasal reshaping surgery) is successful only if the nose is well proportioned and the nasal breathing is maintained or improved. Our team has the extensive academic and medical background needed to look at the individual as a whole and ensure that you have the best aesthetic and functional results possible.

What we offer

At the Facial Plastic Surgery Center at Tufts Medical Center, our specialists offer a complete range of in-office and surgical procedures to address all of one’s facial plastic needs. This includes minimally invasive aesthetic treatments that can be performed during your lunch break as well as full surgical cosmetic surgeries.

We also work very closely with patients and their families who may require reconstructive facial surgery as a result of cancer treatments, trauma, or other medical or congenital conditions.

Some procedures that we offer include:

  • Nasal surgery (Rhinoplasty): The nose is not only the aesthetic center of the entire face, but also is critical in respiratory function. This surgery addresses both the proportions of the nose as well blockage of nasal breathing. Our surgeons strive to balance the appearance of the nose with an individual’s unique facial features as well as to maximize the patient’s ability to breathe through the nose.
  • Facial rejuvenation: Our surgeons offer a full range of procedures that can help give a refreshed look to tired-appearing eyes, deepening lines, and loosening skin of the face and neck. Procedures such as Botox and injectable skin fillers can be performed in a matter of minutes in the office. Mini facelifts and eyelifts (blepharoplasty) can also be performed in the clinic. And when needed, full facelifts, neck lifts, eye lifts, and brow lifts can be performed safely and effectively to give a beautiful natural appearance.
  • Reconstructive facial surgery: Patients who have required treatments for facial cancers, trauma, and certain medical conditions may benefit from reconstructive surgery. Our surgeons will work with you to restore the natural form and function that may have been affected. We also work closely with our colleagues in dermatology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, neurosurgery, and oncologist in a multispecialty team approach to provide comprehensive care for our patients.
  • Facial Nerve Center: Our team is committed to providing individualized medical and surgical care for both adults and kids in order to improve facial function, aesthetics and quality of life.   Weakness or paralysis of the face can occur from a variety of causes. Some individuals are born with the paralysis, whereas others acquire facial weakness later in life.
