Our General Hepatology Program is provided by multiple hepatology-trained specialty providers. You will be seen within a 2 week wait period. The providers will develop an individualized plan to care for your liver disease. Referrals to multidisciplinary clinics or transplant service will be made on a case-by-case basis.
In the 1970s, Tufts Liver Clinic was set up and led by Dr. Marshall Kaplan, a world class clinical scientist and hepatologist who made seminal discoveries in the field of hepatology at the Tufts Medical Center, in particular autoimmune liver diseases. Over the next few decades, Tufts Medical Center has developed into a comprehensive Liver Disease Program for the management of patients with simple and complex liver disease.
