As we age, chronic disease and its symptoms tend to become more complex and may begin to affect everyday life.

At Tufts Medical Center, our doctors understand that it is important to not only treat symptoms of chronic disease but to also work with our patients to prevent these symptoms from occurring. This approach has given our physicians a unique ability to focus on promoting healthy aging for all patients.

Because our Geriatric Specialists are all primary care doctors in the General Medical Associates (GMA) practice at Tufts Medical Center, they have strong experience in providing care for adults. This also means that aging adults in our GMA practice can easily transition into our Geriatrics service.
